Black Milk x Royce Da 5'9"

Off Black Milk's upcoming album, Tronic, dropping Oct. 28. This is a cold ass joint, in my opinion. Lately Royce has been re-earning my respect; I actually can't even remember why I stopped listening to him. Umm...5 out of 5 on the Shrug Scale. Yeah, it's that good. Click the pic. And peep Royce's first two bars. Hilarity that only Detroit natives can relate to.

Oh, and in case you wondering where that sample's from:

I swear Black Milk and I dig in the same record stores. I'm still trying to recall if I gave him the record that's sampled for this track as a gift when I interviewed him for Drop Magazine.

I'm worried, because I really hope Black reshapes his sound with this record. I mean, the internets are already saying all his beats sound the same. I don't think that, but I'd like him show the critics up.

The ending is kind of neat though.

Yeah, the ending is dope, hence the full 5/5 rating.

Based on this song alone, and a piece in Scratch Mag [moment of silence...] in which B. Milk reviewed and enjoyed a Korg R3, I'd say a new sound could very well be in the works.

People already proclaim him as Dilla's second coming, but I've always found that not entirely accurate. I feel that the only hat of Dilla's that Milk really wears is the battle rap side. But if Milk can capture the experimental side as well, the world shall be his oyster.
