Re-Make...now you may be saying to yourself that sounds just like it. (Which it does and is). But I would like you to hear the original...courtesy of Youtube (because I can't search the crates far enough right now to find the song...)
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons...and yes, that is the same man who wrote songs in the 50s...pause on that for a minute...
Yes, the 50s!!!! Some people just don't get the respect they deserve...
Like...if the original wasn't already dope enough, these ninjas had the nerve to do it again... Sad thing is, it kinda makes me wonder why Pharrell couldn't have done the whole album with this kind of sound. Ah, well...what are you gonna do? Well, besides click the pic, that is...
Like, seriously...wow. Chain = Foot rest? Stones falling off? My man's career has gone the way of the dodo bird...
On the plus side [there's always a plus side], had the chain have been real...the fact that it's both Autobot & Decepticon on opposing sides might've been dope.
Dope. And the way he cut the sample screams "Dilla". But...maybe that's just me. I'd drop the "Free Samples" joint...but clearly they mention it more than a few times, sew...Google it yourself.
Performing "Make My Day" off Common's new album. I appreciate the decor, with the palm trees, khakis, and such. Saw him perform this live last year, which was dope, of course. Seems like Common was a little amped, but...otherwise, no harm done.
That's "Love Lockdown". Peep Kanye spazzing at the three-minute mark.
"Heartless / Pinocchio Story", the latter of which...I'm not particularly fond of. But if you want to see Kanye dance like a small child, then...go ahead and watch the whole thing. On the plus side...the screen work was dope; never seen that on SNL before.
I really do miss Jadakiss [although Styles P. will always be my favorite LOX member. This one is called "Death Wish", and...it's pretty hard. Yes, even Wayne's part. Clickity.
Well, not officially. But someone designed cover art for every song on the album [yes, even "Pinocchio Story"], and allows you to vote on your favorite of the twelve. Here's my fave:
Peep that the woman is wearing a broken heart on her chest [where her real heart would be], and holding a heart in her left hand. Dope.
Click either of the pics to see the rest of the artwork.
First he sampled M.I.A. for "Swagga Like Us", now he's featuring Santogold. Blame Kanye, really; he produced both tracks. It's called "Brooklyn (Go Hard)", and it does. Clickity.
That'd be Ryan Leslie's new video for "How It Was Supposed To Be", supposedly the first of three. Those of you who take blogging seriously have heard this song before, and have noticed that it sounds a little different:
Admittedly, this wouldn't be my favorite R-Les track, but it's still decent, so I'll allow it.
Remix of "Universal Mind Control". Actually...more of a mashup. I'd tell you what the other half of the mashup is...but that'd spoil the fun. It shouldn't surprise you, though. Whoever spliced the joints did a bang-up job, in my opinion. Click the pic.
Oh, the joint was found at Common's new blog. [<~~~peep the official]
