Since I haven't said it yet...

Yeah...wanted to officially congratulate Obama on his efforts.  Almost didn't vote for him, but...ended up on the right side of that one.  *whew*

Had an idea to do some fantasy album covers in his honor.  That's the first above.

Now...let's have some fun:

My only complaint is that Obama's team and McCain's team should've switched colors.  Oh, and Palin was terrible.  But you saw that coming, right?

Oh, and in case you haven't seen the hate yet:

Yeah...how does that make you feel?

Give the voter some.

It's obvious who the favorite of the two is.

"Is y'all frontin on me...on national internet?"

Jay in the D...

Jay-Z rocked a free concert here in Detroit last week at the Cobo. Have some friends that went, heard it was dope. See for yourself. Makes me want to bump Blueprint all over again.

Props to Rolling Out for the footage. Check for their free weekly publication, too; their crosswords are fun.

Give the drummer some.

The McCain-Palin Mob

Observe if you will, those who will stand with you at the polls.

Now I have no problem with a person having an opinion. Even if that opinion is biased, ignorant, lacks facts to back itself, etc. However what I do have is a problem is narcissistic people who impose their belief upon you. I don't do machocism, go get your kicks elsewhere. BUT WAIT, there is a part 2!

Once again, no problem with you voicing your opinion. What I do have a problem with however is that Sambo-ass Bobblehead you have there as well as you teaching your children that "you need gloves to touch him." Excuse me? Children don't learn that kind of speech on their own, and if by some strange circumstance that they do, most normal thinking parents reprimand them. That is two words short of calling him a *ahem* Dirty Nigger. And that shit, I do take offense to. Also, in regard to both of the videos, when did it become against the law in a country where CHURCH and STATE are seperated, and everyone is entitled to believe what they want to believe, that Muslims are just all around wrong and terrorist? The fuck? They must be terrorist by "association" and because of their names. However, the Ku Klux Klan, who has a national headquarters, address, and phone number; and are all a part of the Protestant belief aren't? I suppose since they are, everyone that I know that is Protestant is a terrorist as well, at least in my eyes.

Sigh...when will people learn...in semi-related news...and I suppose you could call this a Blow-Us Item...the same people, just this time in Pennsylvania.

"Commie Faggot"? Wow...

In closing all that I want to say is this. When you go to vote, seriously consider the options. Don't vote because you are registered one way or because your party has traditionally done certain things. Vote for who you think is the better candidate. Who has the ability to lead this country of yours, and mines, to the best of their ability. I'm not voicing my opinion for either party, simply saying, consider the things that are most important to you, how they affect your life and the lives or potential lives of your children. Don't vote because someone looks like you, or acts like you, or you feel you can relate to them, or have a beer with them, etc. Don't vote because the person closely resembles you in anyway, because those things do NOT matter in the end. To draw juxtaposition to this statement; I consider myself a very intelligent individual of sound and rational mind. Furthermore, I consider myself a very apt leader who examines things from an utilitarian stance rather than from an egotistic and self-centered stance. However, if placed in the position to lead this country, I do not think that I have the ability, steel will, or capability to do so. Reverse this situation if you will. Place yourself in my spot and highlight your strong points, now relate them to the candidates.

I warned you ninjas, first Tropic Thunder now this.

One day you will listen to me, until then simply address me as,

What know you...

...of Chester French?

Have a listen:

"She Loves Everybody"

In May of 2007, lead vocalist D.A. Wallach & multi-instrumentalist Maxwell Drummey graduated from Harvard with degrees in African American Studies and Social Anthropology, respectively.  In December of the same year, their demo was in the hands of Mr. Kanye West.  After a bidding war between West, Pharrell, Jermaine Dupri, and Jimmy Iovine of Interscope, they signed to Star Trak.

"People"

Joining with three other friends from Harvard, they started touring worldwide, opening for N*E*R*D and Common.  They're currently working on their debut album, Love the Future, due out next year.

"Beneath the Veil"

Known about them for about a year now; just saw them open for Common Sunday [pics from that later].  Oh, you'd probably want to peep the official.

Beloved Bone-Us Items?  I bring plenty.  The very first can be acquired by clicking the pic above...that's right...work for it.

The second one is also from Chester French...sort of.  They remixed Jay-Z's "Excuse Me Miss", for decent results.  Clickity-click.

And the final joint is a super-collab:

Talib Kweli and Res are going to drop a collab album in the distant future under the name Idle Warship.  "Fall Back" featuring Chester French, is actually a jab at Hillary Clinton.  Have a listen.  Click the pic.

And that is all, bipeds.

Yo Momma's on Crack Rock!!!

Sarah Palin edition.

"Well, it certainly does because our -- our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They're in the state that I am the executive of. And there in Russia --"

...Yes you are, yes you are...

Last night I ate a Burrito, that clearly makes qualified to become a leader of Mexico. I saw the moon as well, and because of such I am applying to NASA come Monday.

All I can say about this is, BITCHIZUTRIPPIN'? The Republican party has been getting ethered as of late...Don't believe me? I sign off with this.

Bodied.

Joints on DECK!!!

*gasp*...*wheeze*
Pardon my excitement, just a lot of...shidd...
*passes out*

OK. Here we go.

New joints from the Napoleon of the South [think about it...]

Don't click the pic...this time.

So...T.I. has dropped a lot of songs lately in which he tackles real issues [I'm this close to using the word "adversity", but...any ninja who buys gats by the busload has to expect some sort of drama], namely "No Matter What", and the two songs I'm about to drop. Mind you, he also dropped "What's Up, What's Haapnin'", and "Swang Ya Rag", but...that's to be expected [once again, gats by the busload...]. Also, it's interesting to see Clifford step his cameo game up just a slice. So I bring thee:

T.I. (feat. Justin Timberlake) - "Dead & Gone"

T.I. (feat. Rihanna) - "Livin Your Life" [Extended Version]

Nexties:

Trey Songz rocked the M.I.A. "Paper Planes" beat. I'd upload a pic, but I couldn't find any that looked hetero enough, so...just peep.

[Yes, I'm aware that I'm highly wrong for this.]

What's this? Obama's dropping a mixtape? Oh, yes. It's to be entitled Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement. Not sure when it's dropping, but here go some joints:

Malik Yusef (feat. Kanye West & Adam Levine) - "Promised Land"

John Legend - "Pride in the Name of Love"

Those two joints c/o 2 Dope Boyz [<~~~peep the official], as are the... Beloved Bone-Us Items!! More colorful Joe Budden insight. Here's the first vid, from Royce Da 5'9":

And...Budden's response [peep the first thing he says]:

And Part 2 of that:

That...should explain itself. War is to be had.

That's all, bipeds.

The complexion for the protection...

Friend of mine put me up on this...

Pretty good editorial piece on racial double standards in the Freep, referring to Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, and the illegitimate child she shares with Levi Johnston.  I'd paraphrase but...better you read yourself.  And is it just me, or does Levi look like Willem Dafoe?  Scary.

New Kanye?

Recorded at the ONE event for the DNC.

"Flashing Lights", with a freestyle bonus, then the new joint, supposedly called "Heartless".

I'm not too sure about it, based on what I heard; beat might be decent, but Kanye's singing leaves something to be desired.  I think I'd actually prefer the Auto-Tune, but that's just me.  And I'd definitely need to hear it at a better quality.

Vid c/o Amajanese Blog [<~~~peep the official], who also threw in the audio rip, once again at low quality.

Beloved Bone-us Item?  Why yes, how'd you know?  I bring thee a clip of Joe Budden [respectfully] throwing in his two cents on the Yung Berg sitch.  He makes some pretty good points.

As if you needed ANOTHER reason to f*** with Clipse...

Peeped this from elitaste:

*ahem*  Closer look:

Included, among other things, was a formal letter:

The letter reads:
If you are receiving this package, know that you are one of the select few that we consider as taste makers and trendsetters and we are privileged to unveil to you the Play Cloths Collection: the fruit of our vision, toil, and ideas.

The vision of Play Cloths derives from early childhood memories of your mother designating the clothes that were just for school and the ones for play.  This idea had been adapted to our everyday lives...whether you're at play on the streets of Harlem or on the beaches of San Tropez.

The enclosed garment is just the humble beginnings of what will become a strong movement.  Throughout out travels we have amassed not only a passionate fan base, but also a appreciation for style, quality and individuality.  The end result will be reflected in the output from out brand.  With this we initiate you into the circle.  Wear our insignia with pride.

Welcome to our gang,
Pusha Malice
Pusha & Malice
Clipse

Behold the swag.  [Not "swagg", but "swag".  Wik it up.]

Stickers and such. AND:

Peep that only the left shorts leg and right knee sock have the argyle pattern.  Attention to detail, FTW.

And as always, the beloved bone-us item:

New song from John Legend - "If You're Out There", live at the Democratic National Convention.  Because even metrosexual soul crooners can fall victim to propaganda.  And because no good YouTube video should go unaccompanied [and because iTunes and YouTube aren't integrated...yet], I bring you the mp3 link of the song in question.  Enjoy.
Oh, apparently that version is different from the live version slightly, so I'll give you the live joint as well.  Bon appetit.

And that, bipeds, is all.

Heard this on the Radio, so I decide to research a little further...

Police in Colorado, the Secret Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating a possible Barack Obama assassination attempt. Aurora, Colorado police arrested 3 men and a woman on drug and weapons charges Sunday. Three of the arrests occurred as the result of a vehicle stop; evidence uncovered in the vehicle led police to a hotel room where a fourth suspect jumped from a fourth floor window to avoid being taken into custody. The suspects in the alleged Obama assassination atttempt are believed to be linked to a white supremacist organization.

Police are investigating whether the 4 suspects intended to carry out the Obama assassination attempt at the Democratic Convention as Obama accepts the Democratic nomination for President Thursday evening. In response to a direct question about whether he came to Denver to assassinate Barack Obama, one suspect is said to have answered "yes." The plot involved shooting a rifle from a distance of 750 yards to carry out the planned Obama assassination. At least one of the rifles in the suspects' car was a sniper rifle.

The United States Attorney's office in Denver will hold a news conference later today to provide information on the status of the investigation into the Obama assassination attempt.

While it is too early to say whether this alleged Obama assassination attempt was substantial, it was almost eerily predictable that it would occur. Even President George W. Bush is said to have privately warned Obama during Obama's first visit to the White House that people would be gunning for him once achieved a national political profile. Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura suggested in April that an Obama assassination might be carried out by the U.S. government if it looked as though Obama was positioned to take the White House in November elections.

Source: Associated Content

To add to this information, the version that I heard, which was given with an interview with one of the people involved, went on to say that in the vehicle there was, "Bulletproof vests, two rifles, scopes, drugs, wigs, IDs for entry into the convention, and parts of a pistol." The gentlemen involved went on to say in his interview that no colored should be in political office.

Damn son....

Polly Tickin'...

New joint from Big Boi featuring Mary J.:

No, the song won't be #1 on the Billboard charts, or even on 106 & Park, but the message is clear.  People sleep on Big Boi often; granted, his flow isn't quite as dexterous as Dre-Three-Thou, but he can still hold his own.  Big Boi's solo album should be dropping later this year.

That's all, bipeds.
